Customers take part in Coronation celebrations

Pivotal celebrated the Coronation on Saturday 6 May at our supported living schemes with events taking place for our customers across Dorset and Cornwall.

It was also National Gardening Week from 1-7 May and to celebrate His Majesty King Charles III love of horticulture some of our customers, along with the rest of the UK, created special Coronation Containers and jubilant planting schemes to mark the beginning of his reign.

Let your imagination run wild in whatever space you have available, whether it’s a window box, a hanging basket, or even an old pair of wellies. You could also feature a nod to His Majesty in the form of his favourite flower, the Delphinium, or perhaps Alchemilla mollis, the preferred plant of The Queen Consort.

Gardens and gardening make us feel better and that’s why our customers love doing it. The real magic is that anyone, anywhere can enjoy it and its come to the rescue of those we support, allowing them to explore their senses and just be in a relaxing space. Read some inspiring Real Life Stories from people whose lives have changed for the better because of gardening.

You can simply find your own joy in gardening, or visit a garden near you through the National Open Garden Scheme this month and choose from one of 3,500 gardens across England and Wales.

We hope everyone enjoyed the #Coronation and #CoronationWeekend.
