Christmas round-up

Christmas 2022 was certainly celebrated across Pivotal with all our supported living schemes laying on festive food and good cheer as well as providing much needed support at a time when our residents need us most.

Christmas is always a busy time and 2022 saw the launch of our new resident Christmas card competition. This was a great success, with many of our residents taking part and showcasing their artistic skills. The winning design was hand-drawn by Ryan from a supported living scheme in Poole, Dorset. Ryan received a gift voucher and his Christmas card was printed and sent to all our schemes across the UK. Well done Ryan!

As well as Christmas celebrations, there were delicious chocolate sponges and other goodies cooked up at special Christmas cookery workshops, and also Christmas craft workshops. Every resident received a gift from Pivotal to make them feel special and, for our supported residents in Dorset, presents were also organised by our Finance Business Partner, Laura West, and gift bags were donated by Hope for Food – thank you!

Thank you also to various stores for their kind donations, including Tesco Tower Park, Tesco Fleetsbridge and Tesco Branksome in Dorset for Christmas Turkeys, Iceland in Poole for all the Christmas trimmings – Yorkshire puds, pigs in blankets and lots of lovely veggies – and Aldi and Asda in Bournemouth for sweet treats and 70 mince pies! Well done to our Support Worker, Zoe Thomas-Wood, in particular for her hard work on this.

Lastly, thank you to our front line staff for being so amazing over Christmas, ensuring our residents had a joy filled and peaceful time.
