Green-fingered residents in Camborne

Residents at one of our projects in Camborne, Cornwall have rejuvenated seven planters and hanging baskets with a wide variety of plants including lavender, lilies and viola. They have also made a start on creating a peaceful sheltered area in which to reflect, chat with other residents and have vital recovery activities in.

The benefits of gardening run much deeper than just exercise, with research studies showing better physical, social and mental health. Gardens are great for wildlife and the environment too with plenty of fruit and veg on tap. ‘Grow your own’ has a positive impact on plastic packaging and food waste too. Well done to our green-fingered residents for getting in the fresh air, picking up a trowel, watering and getting gardening!
