Gardening was one of the most requested activities by residents

Late last year we conducted our annual survey of residents across Cornwall, Dorset and, for the first time, Gloucester.

This will help us to:

  • Monitor, evaluate and improve the services and activities we provide or signpost to
  • Identify where specific interventions can benefit specific individuals or groups
  • Provide assurance to external partners that we are customer-focussed and customer-led and
  • Identify residents who might be willing to become more involved in driving our improvement

Residents also told us what activities and services they would be interested in, with the top answers being cookery workshops, help finding voluntary or paid work and gardening. This feedback will enable us to target specific activities at specific locations when safe to do so and to signpost residents to local projects and partner organisations.

Over the last few weeks our green-fingered residents have made the most of the spring sunshine and been busy planting, painting and re-potting.

One of our Poole residents has grown tomatoes, courgettes and chilli and planted shallots and beetroot.

We’re looking forward to a fruitful harvest!
